SUMMARY
Directs and manages multiple AMS maintenance facilities to ensure optimal performance across the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Performs supervisory responsibilities to effectively manage area managers, technicians, and shop personnel through interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning work, appraising performance, disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Develops, implements, and refines AMS policies and procedures to ensure overall effective departmental performance.

Travels to shop locations to assist shop managers in addressing staff issues.

Conducts shop inspections to ensure compliance with all Company, OSHA, and EPA rules and regulations.

Explores, implements and manages cost saving opportunities, including optimizing equipment performance and maintenance.

Confers with executives and administrative personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals and objectives as a result of current status and conditions.

Establishes and maintains positive working relationships to meet or exceed customer expectations.

Receives and carries out instructions.

Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

- Displays extensive knowledge of warranty-related claims with OEMs, Tier 1, or other automotive/truck suppliers.
- Uses computers and software programs proficiently.
- Exhibits ability to read, write, talk and hear; add, subtract, multiply and divide; and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. as required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or other related field; 10 to 15 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
